LCCI urges members to settle disputes through LCCI Medi

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry has urged the members to avail LCCI Mediation facility to settle their dispute that would save their precious time, money and business reputation. In a statement, the LCCI Acting President Khawaja Khawar Rashid and Vice President Zeshan Khalil said that even Lahore High Court is referring disputes for mediation to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the LCCI has resolved a number of cases successfully.

They said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry established the Mediation Center for out-of-court settlements of the business disputes in collaboration with World Bank and IFC. They said that support of Judiciary is making this Center more effective.

The LCCI office-bearers said that the Lahore Chamber of commerce & Industry is not only putting in its best efforts for trust building between the government and the private sector but is also supplementing the government’s efforts aimed at economic revival of the country.

They expressed concern on a dispute between the two former LCCI office-bearers and moving the court by one of them. They said that that when Lahore High Court is referring business disputes to the Lahore then one should also approach the LCCI Mediation Center.

They said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a premium body of the business community and all segments including government, politicians and trade circles acknowledge and accord due importance therefore everybody is bound to take care of its respect. 

They once again urged all members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry to avail LCCI Mediation facility.
