President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, visited the Lahore Garrison University, where he was warmly received by Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (Retd) Muhammad Khalil Dar and Dean Dr. Rizwana Bashir. LCCI President visited various departments, where he was briefed on academic programs, research initiatives, and the university’s efforts to equip students with modern skills aligned with industry demands. Speaking on the occasion, President LCCI Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol appreciated the role of Lahore Garrison University in promoting quality education and discipline among students. He emphasized that Pakistan’s economic future is closely linked with a skilled workforce, and universities must focus on practical training, innovation, and entrepreneurship alongside theoretical education. He added that stronger collaboration between Lahore chambers of commerce and educational institutions can help bridge the gap between academia and industry, creating better employment and business opportunities for youth.
Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (Retd) Muhammad Khalil Dar thanked the LCCI President for his visit and said that Lahore Garrison University is committed to producing graduates who are not only academically strong but also professionally competent. He highlighted that the university is continuously upgrading its curriculum and facilities to meet evolving national and global requirements. Dean Dr. Rizwana Bashir also briefed the delegation on academic structure, student development programs, and ongoing research work. She said that the university is actively encouraging innovation, critical thinking, and skills-based education.
The visit concluded with a consensus on strengthening cooperation between LCCI and Lahore Garrison University for joint initiatives in skill development, internships, and industry-oriented training programs for students.
